tesco

it was my birthday yesterday and my hubby bought me a lovely box of thorntons chocolates from tesco at a cost of 14.98, decided to crack them open last night it was then found that they were 5 weeks out of date:confused:
hubby not happy,will be taking them back later

    rofl i d take your husband back for a refund and keep the choclates cause theyll be fine its only a best before date which means they could still taste absouloutley fine

    I think Thornton's are on half price at Tesco at the moment. Get your hubby to take them back for a refund and then re-purchase 2 boxes! Yum.

    i have tins 2 years out of date, still taste ok!
    Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
    current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
    Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)

    new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,000
  • I guess its the thought that OH bought them in good faith for a present. Makes you think they will palm you off with anything!(Tesco that is). I would be annoyed to. If I wanted out of date chocs I would by them myself on offer.;) Hope it didn't spoil your birthday.

    well took them back,and they refunded me with the 14.98 gave me a new box and a 5pound voucher so im more than happy with that... i did check to see if they were on offer but they werent !!!! thanks to you all
