I am going to Portsmouth for a couple of days end of April.
Does anybody know of any free things to do there?
Thanks,

not free, but you can use Tesco clubcard vouchers to get into Spinnaker tower which makes it really cheap.0

There's the Spinnaker Tower as Raspberry has mentioned.
Blue Reef Aquarium & Clarence Pier Funfair at Southsea.
Portsmouth Histotic Dockyard.
Shopping n' eating at Gunwharf Quays.
Isle of Wight ferries from Gunwharf Quays too or the Fastcat for passengers only. Hovercraft to IOW from Southsea.
The Spinnaker, Blue Reef and Dockyard all take Tesco Days Out vouchers. You can book IOW tickets using Tescos Vouchers in advance on Wightlink.
A word of advice about the Dockyard. It's massive! We arrived before it opened at 10am, were one of the first in, did the timed tours of the Victory etc, did the Harbour tour which is really good, and by closing time we still had only done 70% of it. Whether you buy tickets in cash or use Tescos vouchers you have one year to return to finish all the attractions. Better to visit the Dockyard on a nice day as a lot of it involves walking outside. The man without a signature.0 -
Thanks for all the advice. I have just order £50 deals voucher for the dockyard and £80 restaurant vouchers as it looks like many of the deals restarants are at Gunwharf Quays. ie Pizza Express and Cafe Uno. I looked at the Tower and online their is a voucher to print out for a discounted ticket. £12.50 for a family so think I will pay cash for that if we go. It doesn't say you can't buy a family ticket with deals for the dockyard so I'm assuming you can am I right?:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

There is also the Natural History Museum and the Submarine Museum over in Gosport.
I thought the Spinnaker Tower was a rip off (even though I paid with Tesco vouchers!)0 -
Fort Nelson on the hill behind Portsmouth is free. There's a lot to see there.
