In my quick links tab some of the options are missing but I don't know what they are so I probably never use them anyway! The no of thanks seems to be back. I don't understand why you would want to unthank someone
Great news on the new love Blairweech :smileyhea Good advice from BB about the food budget I think. I find it difficult with mine too and don't think I can get it as low as I would like - TBH my enthusiasm's not massively into it at the mo as I know we're going away so can't stockpile etc as I normally would. Don't beat yourself up though xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

ooh, it also seems to show how many times we have thanked as well as been thanked.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

Hi fruguys and gals!
So much to comment on, where do I start? I've read all the posts but have forgotten who said what already!
SM, concrete corner is looking much more frugal-friendly now, you've worked really hard on that. And I'll bet you're glad you had the contingency fund for vet fees - phew!
Bails, it is lovely so hear you bouncing with vitality and such enthusiasm, long may it continue and good luck with getting something really great for summer.
Blairweech - congratulations on the new love of your lifeWhat a great time of year to start building a romance
SFT what can I say? Stunned by all your fab news and really hope all goes to plan for the move to the country. :T :j  If you ask your lawyer to check toe new house deed to see if there's any restriction on what pets/livestock you can keep then you'll know for sure. I can't see any problems, though, as it would be crazy to write in a 'no poultry or rabbits' clause for a rural property.
And now for my own little bit of celebratory news - look what's arrived in Frugaldom gardens.
Mrs Grey made a baby. :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.

Sunday was spent gardening but not much evidence of i all the hard work (some days it's like that) i did fill our council bin with weeds though so i must have done something.
Accupuncture this morning and then a day doing revision i think as the weathers a bit naff

Good morning fruguys and gals,
Not much to report from here apart from  at my spending! My challenge budget is going to be stretched beyond all recognition this year, I fear, as it's getting to be near impossible to keep absolute essentials down and gone are the days when £5 was a fair whack to put in a birthday card. In my defence, my 'everything else' spending does include DD's wedding, my savings plan and the on-going associated costs of having moved house (starting a new garden from scratch, getting kitchen units etc), not forgetting the mini poultry enterprise start-up costs.
Sun is trying to get through the clouds here but it's still very chilly. No frost this morning, though, so that's an improvement.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hi Everyone!!
Still working through the posts I missed, inbetween my ironing pile and general tidying up.
Put my wedding dress back on Ebay last night and will take it to the dry cleaners later to get it ready for posting..its got 4 watchers so should go. Over the next few days I'm really going to start de-cluttering, put lots of stuff on freecycle/or take to charity shop/ebay other bits and keep only what I really need. Hopefully we can raise a bit of cash from this too.
Did I read about someone selling CDs for cash?
Later we will meal plan-trying to use up all the stuff in the freezer before our (fingers crossed) move.
Thanks for all your lovely comments everyone. What a lovely community we have.
Nyk: That is a gorgeous chick. Your determination/motivation is incredible. Do you ever pinch yourself about it all?
Bails: Glad to hear your full of energy and I agree about the beauty of nature all around us. OH and I were in full botanical mode looking at the wild flowers in Cornwall.
Shaz: Great to hear about the free lunch. Had one of the best veggie curries of my life at a TA function last year.
Skint Lynne: How long before your job change?
Sophiesmum: Wow! What a transformation of a disused space.
Catch you all later.

loving the chick update Nyk.
I'm finally getting round to finishing my mar /1st quarter account. Been in a bit slack - everything recoded but not in one place and have now rectified that. Won't post them now as we are well into april, but this close recording of spends contiues to keep me on track and feeling in control and able to do far more with my pennies than I thought possible.
Life is good at the moment and I am feeling very optimistic about the summer.
Just been booked for another session at the med school for exams so that'll be another £15 earned:D. All helps pay the £100 prepay prescription cert I have to get each year.:T
Today we are taking the massacred lavender bush to the recycle green waste dump (will fill whole of car it was so enormous), and then off to garden centre to see what I can replace it with. Had thoughts of a dwarf fruit tree: it's a very sunny spot. I'll see what's about.
Must go and prep dinner and put more yogurt on to 'cook'.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Yay, lots of lovely posts to read as I procrastinate on my revision...
Your wedding and honeymoon sound just perfect, sftand congrats on the house sale! It's lovely to hear you sounding so chirpy and energetic, bails (and I love your location!). The new chick is very cute, nyk
ooh and well done on clearing out that space, sophiesmum... that's the kind of job which I would put off forever and never get done so well done for just getting on with it! It looks great.
Oh and finally, happy one monthaversary, blairweechI hope that things continue to go well for you. Speaking of which, I had a lovely anniversary this weekend
OH gave me some lovely white-gold earrings with 3 cubic zirconia for 3 years together, ahhh
OK, nose back to the grindstone now (not that I've done much so far today) I hope everyone is having a nice Monday :cool:Live on £4000 a Year Challenge member
