If money were no object (although say a limit of £5k), what desktop would anyone go for?
It would need a lot of memory to deal with lots of application open at any time - good graphics would be a bonus?
Woudl Dell be recommended? Any particular model? Any other makes?
Thanks in advance

It would depend on what you are going to use the computer for. If you are planning to work with images a lot then you would be better of going for a Mac Pro with extra memory. All graphic design companies use Macs.
If you are going to stick to a PC then you want to aim for a quad core processor with a 64 bit version of Windows and lots of ram (about 8Gb)0 -
build one yourself would be cheaper than alienware and u could get a better case imo.
also what about apple?? what u gonna be using the desktop system for mainly??0 -

Self build. All money towards components and none of the overheads and other costs that a manufacturer will put on.0
