New Desktop

If money were no object (although say a limit of £5k), what desktop would anyone go for?

It would need a lot of memory to deal with lots of application open at any time - good graphics would be a bonus?

Woudl Dell be recommended? Any particular model? Any other makes?

Thanks in advance :D

It would depend on what you are going to use the computer for. If you are planning to work with images a lot then you would be better of going for a Mac Pro with extra memory. All graphic design companies use Macs.

If you are going to stick to a PC then you want to aim for a quad core processor with a 64 bit version of Windows and lots of ram (about 8Gb)

Self build. All money towards components and none of the overheads and other costs that a manufacturer will put on.
