Changing address

Options
Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere but I can't find the answer. We are due to complete next Friday  but can't get into our new house for a few weeks. So I was wondering when do we let everyone (i.e banks, doctors, schools etc) know that we've moved? We've put a mail redirect on to where we will be staying but when do we actually inform companies etc that we have moved? I can't see that we can give them our new house address when we move out as we won't be there for a few weeks but is there anything wrong with not telling them we've moved out until we are in our new place or is this likely to cause a problem anywhere?
Thanks

    Why can't you get in?

If you have the keys and no one else does they start the redirect - and write and tell everyone when you've got them.

I'd move banks addressses to parents/stable address ASAP. You don't want bank/credit info going astray. They need it in writing usually.
It's always best to change address rather than relying on the postal service's redirection service.

buy royal mail redirect for 2 months only to your new temporary address, then do a new redirect to your final new home and then tell all your banks etc of your new final address

i have told most of my banks etc over the phone that i have moved

I have found the Postal Service Redirection Service brilliant in the past year.
