Thanks all for the happy birthday wishes, it has made my day.

Today I have decluttered the LR and DR floors and done general tidying downstairs. I have brought in 3 loads of washing from the line and plonked them on a chair in front of the rad. I have also marked some of my year 10 statistics coursework so the hardest part is over the rest should be a doddle.
I will lay out stuff for tomorrow, early closure!!!, then head off to bed.

(((Hugs))) to all who need it and thanks again, you guys are great.

laura2418 Happy Birthday for tomorrow - hope you have a brilliant day
hex Happy Birthday to your DS tomorrow!

ETA done a little more cathcing up on the thread but must get to bed so sorry for not responding individually but thanks for all the birthday wishes.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

    Morning all

Sexym - sorry about the job - but it will be worth speaking to the head for feedback for the next time
Dusty - well done on getting your Nan's things done
FFP - hope OH recovers quickly
Mudbath - well done on the hi fi - you should have asked for double the difference...
Pigpen - big hugs love. Hang on in there....and well

Oh Toots - a bathroom star please :D.

Bum - that 'wipe all paintwork' is back on the living room list. Can I say it doesn't need doing as I only did it a couple of weeks ago?

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday out in the garden. Ended up sitting out there reading a magazine. The weather was beautiful! It's a bit grey this morning though.

Off to work in a bit. Tonight I need to take BB back to the vet to have her stitches out. That'll be fun! I also need to pay the gas and elec.

    Have a lovely day people.

I've got the start of a cold so a bit bunged up and sore throaty - just having a cuppa.

soappie - if there is something on the list that doesn't need doing then I substitue for another task - clean the lampshades? polish a piece of furniture? wipe the outside of your window sills?

Hex - hope your DS has a lovely birthday

Laura happy birthday to you - go eat cake

Irrie - so sorry I missed your birthday yesterday, I'm glad you had a good day.

Time to make the packups for the two boys going to school. DS2 is coming with us to the funeral.

Planning on doing a bit of flying this afternoon, hoovering downstairs at least.

Nearly forgot to tell you about my bargain of the week. We wanted to buy dd a hi fi (do you still call them that???!) as she's had hers since she was three and it's broken. Anyway, she was paying half and so were we. Looked at tesco and they had one reduced to £29 from £59. Got it to the till and was charged £59. I don't think so!! The cashier went to where the hi fi's were and showed us a price saying £59. I then showed her the one saying £29! She took the low price down but sold it at that price.....dd very happy (i'm rather jealous...wouldn't mind it for myself). I should have said 'actually, I was going to buy three!'):rotfl: .

You should have paid the £59, then gone to customer services and told them of the mistake - they give back double the difference! Voila - nice free Hi Fi:p ( Just caught up with the rest of the thread and realised Soappie mentioned it too ;-) )

I'm not going to be about much today either.. college this morning and I've my sister coming round later I think.

I guess I kind of owe you all a small explanation..

My husband and I separated 10 days ago.. don't be too sympathetic I had my instigatory role to play in it..

Yesterday DS1 was diagnosed as being severely anaemic and also there is a huge possibility he is diabetic as wwell.. plus they aare going aay next week which I am finding incredibly difficult .. much moreso than I thought I would!

AND.. topping yesterday off perfectly.. DD4 went for her orthopaedic appointment.. the consultant thought she maybe had scoliosis.. and she hasn't.. she has cerebral palsy. which, while being non-progressive and it not changing her the actual label just about broke my heart.. she is the cutest sweetest little thing ever and it is just unfair.

    So..

    I cried on..

the consultant, the nurse, the physio, my mother, hubby, the daughter, 2 friends, my sister and.. the teacher at school!!

I have been advised to go for DLA for her.. which she doesn't necessarily 'need' but it would go a way to helping with childcare once at uni so I may consider it once I've sorted the household finances.. again..

On the plus side..the debt calculation is less than £3000 for the first time ever!!

Right.. off to get everyone ready for school and get myself to college!!

I'm doing ok.. with the occasional wobble but the flying has gone to the wall temporarily!

Oh and my alcoholic uncle and gf have had the children taken into foster care...
