    What I did on Sat.....

Waking up with the mostest motivation I have ever had I decided to get on and do all those little jobs that never get done...To start with was My son's wardrobe door that has been leaning up on the wall for a month or two now and I finally stubbed my toe on last night...Well after finally lining it up making sure that the hinges were correctly in the resccess i relised i didn't have the correct screwdriver..now instead of asking my dear wife to pass one up to me I knew which one I needed to use, in fact its the only one I ever use even though i have 17 cross head screw drivers all nicely displayed on the wall in my garage i still use the same one...So asking S to hold the door on and ensuring that she wont let it slip I go down to my shed to get the screwdriver..To get there i have to pass through the utility room and with 4 littel ones in the house there is always laundry that needs doing so to help with the house work i decide to put a fresh load on so out comes the wet stuff into the basket that handle needs repairing..pick up all clothes of the floor and into machine, can't find the measure for the powder so will do it when in a min. In fact as it is a lovely day I will hang the washing out to dry, apart from those few items that you don't want to hang out...You know the under wear that is more holes that cloth..the now 14 odd socks. and the sheet that has become translucent in the middle...When i did get outside i remeberd the fact that we are are getting fedup with the washing line tied to the tree and not up properly on the pole..Ah yes the pulley thats what I needed..well im in the mood to get things donw so I put the wet laundry on the side in my shed while I Nip down to B&Q to get a pulley..i walk through the house shout upstairs to my wife that i will be back in a min...All she hears is I have gone to get pulled or something...

At B&Q i walk past the bargin basement see a load of wood that is going very cheap and tester pots of paint at 5p each....after looking at a new drill with 67 speeds on it i finally find the pulleys and choose one that i reckon the washing line will fit through because the hole is abut the size of my thumb. At the till i relise that I only have £5 on me and the bill is £7.80 never mind I know the pulley was £2.98 so if I put that back it will make life easier than going through all the wood and tester pots. Comming out of the shop I throw all the stuff into boot of the car finding, that new screwdriver set in there I had for christmas..When I get back home Walking through the front gate I relise the gate really does need a coat of paint as it is getting really rusty now.. So I take it of its hinges and into the shed to rubdown and paint..Leaving it ontop of the basket of wet clothes that is in there for some reason I go into the house as Suzi just called to say lunch is ready..Over food she Asks what I have DONE todayso far......WEll.............Ive been really busy.

    Love it Oddjob :D

Hmm got diverted from my bathroom cleaning when I opened yesterday's post (couldn't be bothered last night) which was on the unit in the hall. RBS have offered me a black card for £250.00 a year. Whilst I won't use the concierge service or the executive airport lounge service, the travel insurance, breakdown cover and plumbing, electrics and home emergency cover look tempting. I shall have to go and do some sums - it may work out cheaper than my RAC and BG cover....

Phil I have everything crossed for you for your union call

Washing on the line, next lot loaded. Just going to wash up from breakfast and then off to hopefully finish the sorting at Nan's.
