Car Insurance - Advice & Help Needed

Hi,
I am looking to buy a car in the next couple of months, but need a large estate car so im looking for around a 1.8 - 2 litre diesel.
The problem is, been 21 the cheapest insurance I can find it £900.
A friend has mentioned she might be able to help as she has maximum no claims of around 15 years.
She is the registered owner and main insurance holder of another car with Lloyds TSB car insurance and her no claims is on this policy.
If I was to open a policy with a different company with me as the owner, her as the named driver and me as a second driver in order to get cheaper insurance could I use her current no claims bonus on this second policy?
And would a claim on this policy have any damaging effect on her current policy with Lloyds - i.e premiums rising.
Any help gratefully accepted.

matty,
i am guessing that this is a turbo diesel?
it has been my experience that as soon as the word 'turbo' is involved, be it on a diesel or otherwise, the price jumps up if you are under 30.The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
Matty.
A 1.8 - 2 litre diesel is not big. Auto RS6 4.2 Twin Turbo Estate that's what you need.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
