Not so. I went last year, my friends 9 year old son was allowed to go anywhere that was open to the public - although he was with us all time as you'd expect.

The timetable will be on the website closer to the event, but if you have to pick one day, go on Sunday. Saturday is mostly qualifying for all the different race types with a few races towards the end. Sunday is a few qualifying early on (9am ish), with races from around 12 noon to the end.

Last year they had the Renault F1 car out for a few demo laps on both days, and all the games (Go-Karts, bouncy castles, Pit stop challenge) ran on both days in the paddock area.

Whichever day you, get there early to avoid the worst traffic. I reached the track before 10am and the roads from the M1 were packed!!!
