I recently replaced an element in my electric oven, took me all of 5 minutes. The inside rear of the oven usually have a false back where the element sits. *isolate all power to oven* Remove 5/6 screws, slide cover to one side. You will see the element held in place by 2 or more brackets, unscrew brackets. Remove the element a few centimeters until the the connections are exposed, slide off connectors, you may need a screwdriver to lever them off.

    Reverse to fit new element.

The hardest thing about it is having to pull the oven out & get to the element.
Everything else is usually easy peasy.

They have to be easy to fit so that the oven is easy to manufacture.
