Hi, thanks for your replies.
The coin electric meter is for OUR electric only, not downstairs in the hairdressers so that is ok, although I do agree it does seem like an out-moded way pf paying. And can't landlords set the rates?? Or did I hear that wrong?
It's just the gas we share, and that's a good point about business and domestic rates. I think we should phone the landlady ourselves otherwise it looks like we're sitting on our laurels a bit.
I cannot believe we have used effectively £2,000 gas in one year - we ar out most of the day. Of course the hairdressers are saying that they can't possibly use as much as us and its almost like its being laid at our feet so I'll get onto the landlady. Because we share the gas I have no idea which supplier we are with0 -
What do the hairdressers use for their hot water then - I would presume it's gas if there's a boiler?Noli nothis permittere te terere

If you haven't seen a bill and are not named on the bill then you don't actually share the gas! In which case it would be pretty difficult for the hairdressers to extract payment from you. Do you keep a record of each payment made?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
