This would be best put to a builder I guess, I am not sure of any implacations.

I am taking all steps possible to rid my house of heat loss.
I have so far
Had cavity wall (Fibre Isulation) which worked great.
Layed new loft insulation then borded onto.

The next step I was considering, was putting a product called Kingspan between the roofing struts or eves basically the bits that run along the roof inside made from timber that look like this /\ from below but not as pitched on my roof.

Kingspan is a solid fibre based product that has silver outer and cuts heat loss a fair bit.

But is their any issues RE ventalation and damp I need to be aware of.

Any advice or help would be great.

Cheers

Jay

When i used to do loft conversions we used celotex which is the same as kingspan in the eves and that was fine, just make sure their is a gap between the tiles and the kingspan at the back for the air to flow and leave a gap at the top and bottom of eves as well.
    Expensive stuff though.

do you have a room in the roof?

if not then installing kingspan/celotex will be going overboard....you would be much better off increasing the thickness of your loft insulation

I installed it on the the roof struts, so leaving a large space between them for air to flow between the kingspan and slate roof. I attached this using long screws (none corrosive) with washers. There were some part close to the edge of the roof where it meets the edge of the house where I couldn't get to very well so I glued them with mastic glue, and holed them in place with spare piece of kingspan to wedge it in until the glue was dry.

I filled the gaps between the sheets with gaffer tape. I also had loft insulation done prior to this and have recently boarded up about 2/3rd's.

I noticed that when the loft got insulated with insulation they hadn't got right to the end, so I ended up buying some spare and prodding it into the edges with a long stick. I cured a problem we have had with water (condensation_ running down outside walls particularity acute on a North facing wall where its cold often even in Summer.
