a lot of people do, but others say they find no difference at all - I know tigerlilly's pooch is on orijen which is 40% protein, with no change in her normal chilled out demeanour!
However, whether it is true or not, 23% is fine, the very lowest I have seen was about 17% and that was for an elderly/overweight dog specialised diet.
About 20-25% protein seems to be the normal range in complete foods (from my own experience of packet side reading!)0 -
Do you know if they only sell Wag and Chappie in-store. Just looked on-line and cant see Wag or Chappie on their website.
Just wanted to compare % ingredients of contents as thinking of switching foods anyway.I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:0 -
I have an older cocker spaniel who has suffered from pancreatitis and the vet told me to feed her Chappie. We have done so for a couple of years now and it has been successful in stopping the problem from flaring up again. We also feed our other dogs (very active cross border collies) on it and they are very healthy with beautiful coats.sloan SKI-ers Club #10 :j0

Not sure what is the official chappie site but the www.waggfoods.co.uk has lost of anlysis of their food.
One other thing (i know many already know this).... wagg worker is 17Kg v's adult 15kg (common large bag size). I asked at the stand at crufts one year why this should be. It may not be the official answer but i was told that they use the same size bag but the ingredients have a higher density so they can fit a higher weight in the same size bag. Also working food is VAT free so they can use a common price, common bag size and the VAT man doesn't chase you if you feed your non-working dog with working dog food! If you look on the bag of most working dog foods, its does say it's VAT free. So overall you get more weight for your money, and more calories in the same weight so you don't need to feed so much either. I was told that it is 15% more calories per gram than 'normal' adult. So the final cost benefit becomes 17/15 x 1.15 = 30% more calories for your money and less poos!0 -

The vets at home web site only shows the products that they deliver, so you wont see everything on their site as they dont deliver all goods that they sell in store.0
