Quote from Pricefighter, "Both myself and other posters have called them and managers in their Customer Service Centre have said they do bar access (for 1899, etc).Whether this is true or not i have know way of knowing not being a user of the service."
I'm sure I read in one of these discussions a post from someone who had signed up to PO telephone and could confirm that 1899 & 18185 were working for him/her at that time. I wanted to read it again to confirm this but I can't find it here at all now - I'm really sure I read it! Has it been removed or changed, or am I just missing it?

Yes since i made that post someone has confirmed what i said ,and another has said they are able to use 1899. Perhaps some more existing users can confirm that you are able to use it at the moment.
However even if they do allow it at the moment they could just apply a bar as Talk Talk have done recently.
This what their latest T&C says:
4.3 Sometimes You may have indirect access to another service operators’ network (for example by using the “IA” access codes) which may result in charges to You or Us. If there is, or We suspect there is, an unusual amount of activity by You via this indirect access, We may bar Your calls and/or terminate the Service with You. We will try to give You prior notice before We bar Your calls or terminate Your Service. You will still be responsible for all calls made via indirect access before We bar Your calls. You will still be able to make calls to emergency services where We have only barred Your calls (but not where We have terminated the Services).PF.0 -
but when they do bar it, u just move back to BT than. And claim your £50 or less depending when you move back.0

Hi,
it was I who said that you can use 1899, 18185 with the PO.
I am still using them as well, with the very handy Orchid Ranger 400 phones to use the right company at the right time for the right calls.0 -
Marky, do you need a box or can you just dial the number?Pawpurrs x

If they have not blocked it yet. You should be able to dial the short code..All a box does is insert the short code for you.0 -
No they haven't blocked 1899 etc yet. :j
I do also use the Orchid Ranger 400 phones so dont have to think about best number to use, but yes you can just dial number as well.0 -
