Jet2 Cabin Baggage

I was lucky enough to win a Jet2 flight in their recent competition & I'm off to Tenerife for a few days at the end of April. I am taking cabin bag/case to save the hold baggage charge of £25 & will check-in online to avoid further £4 charge. I noticed from the website that the case size is a little shorter than most(50x38x26) & only 10kg. How strict are they on this? Do they measure & weigh at the gate?
I also usually take a smallished quite flat sized shoulder bag that I put my passport and A4 sized docs in , plus my lunch in etc(Saving again), I guess male equivalent of handbag, will they treat this as 2 bags? as it is small enough to go under the seat.
One other thing, I presume I can check-in online from home for the return leg from TFS.Cheers for any advice.

My husband used them last summer to Alicante and he was lucky to have checked the website becasue he had to dig out a more suitable bag than the one used for Ryanair trips. He found them quite strict and aslo about any 'extra' bags - so he took a small sports type bag and notheing else - it is a good job he didn't need many clothes!
Enjoy your trip0 -
It is not just the airlines that are getting hot on the one bag its security.
Most airports that have the budget airlines as their volume customers realise that with Ryan air driving the mentality of the traveller to use hand luggage rather than checked luggage have started to enforce the one bag law even through security. Luton is a prime example. What is happening is there is limited space in the overhead lockers (Not room for one bag per person never mond two) so to prevent delays on moving hand luggage from the cabin to the hold (which they do if there is not room and you are unfortunate not to find space in the lockers) and delaying the take off slots it is being enforced from security onwards. So in a nutshell if it states a size and an amount stick to or expect to face some extra charges

Manchester has a 2 bag rule on hand luggage but as you say some airports are 1 bag but the then airline only allows one bag. It used to be great a few years ago with the loco's, the price you saw was the price you paid & this included hold luggage, seat selection etc etc. Getting just as bad as the utility companies, always something hidded or changing.
It's actually £14.99 each way for baggage to TFS!!!!!!0 -
Your "handbag" will have to be able to fit inside your one piece of cabin baggage0
