I seem to be paying for uninsured loss recovery, I can't find my policy document and maybe thought that you guys could help me.

If you are involved in an incident that is not your fault you may incur expenses that aren't covered by your insurance policy (eg excess/hire car/loss of earnings/medical expenses/etc), and you may want compensation for any consequences of the incident (injury/job loss etc).
Your ULR policy will do the donkey work for you over getting this.0
