First Direct £100 - can I do this?

It says you need to "transfer your salary/income of at least £1500 within 3 months" in order to get the first £100. That's not exactly the same as just crediting your account with £1500.
Also remember that the account has a £10 a month fee if you don't pay in at least £1500 every month or meet certain other conditions.
It does not specifay anywhere that you actually have to transfer you current account to them to get the initial £100. It does not define what it means by transfer your salary/income - I transferred 1500 from another account to them - there is no way for them to know that this is not my 'salary/income'.
In order to get the second £100 you do have to transfer your current account as it explicitly states "You'll also need to have used our Easyswitch service, which means we'll have obtained details of your Standing Orders and Direct Debits from your previous bankers and arranged to transfer them for you."
I guess I'll just have to wait and see!0 -
Had LIVE CHATS with their representatives on the subject of EasySwitch and was TWICE advised that this is not necessary to claim £100 incentive.
But I still do not believe them (alhtough I have kept a copy of both the LIVE CHATS), and hence have now set up a small amount Standing Order payable to my relative, so when FD applies for Easy Switch, FD would atleast have one entry there to deal with.
The response in this case given by their representatives are contrary to what is mentioned on the website, so do keep a note of the LIVE CHAT reference no. , the date and the time you had the chat if there is a dispute in the matter.

You only have to use the easyswitch if you are going to close the account and claim the 100 quid after 6 months
100 quid for opening and putting in 3 months of wages above 1500
100 quid for leaving if not happy after 6 months but you must have used their easyswitch service when you opened the account. If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0
