Any chance of a show aimed at childless people?

There is only three of us in my workplace and I'm the only one with children - one of the other women has booked off the whole of Aug. I have no idea why someone without children would want this time off but that's life.
She perhaps has a holiday booked? It's not unknown for childless people to also take long holidays as well you know. (I took three weeks off once to go to Egypt.)Conjugating the verb 'to be":

You are obviously an expert on working mothers however the gender pay gap due to part time work is highlighted here http://www.metro.co.uk/money/article.html?UK_gender_pay_gap_among_Europes_highest&in_article_id=565958&in_page_id=36
Perhaps the women you work with would be at a higher level than you if they had not had children and taken on part time work.
Oh well, looks like I won't be helping the sick or the elderly because I've decided not to have children!! Does that make me a bad person? Just becasue you can it doesn't mean you have to.
No I'm not an expert on working mothers, i've never claimed to be I'm simply relaying the experiences I've had working with mothers, and for your information, the mothers I work with quite simply prefer to be mothers than to further their careers, their part time jobs are for pocket money. You shouldn't make the assuption that all working mothers want to climb the ladder, the truth is in my experience, these mothers don't.RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I never said everyone has to have children but that wasn’t your original point that I took issue with – you implied you had a problem with society helping families , I merely pointed out the necessity for them.
I initially mentioned the position of working mothers to highlight the hidden costs of having children to which you replied that the mothers you work with were better off than yourself.
Having provided you with evidence re the gender pay gap you now reply that I am making assumptions and that the mothers you are working with are only working for pocket money. How patronising ….0 -
I think an interesting element has been touched upon here. When it comes to the work place I have heard a lot of commentators on TV (particularly the ever shrill Harriet Harmen) talk about women not being able to advance in the workplace.
Now if a woman put in hours, was productive and able, I think they should be advanced just as any man would be if he demonstrated the same qualities.
However if a man or a woman has taken time out from a company - either via leave or going to part time work - then they have to expect that they will have less chance of advancement. You cannot have it all ways - you cannot benefit from all the flexible working offered to parents and then still expect the same rewards.
There is a real growing resentment from childless people about the perk offered to those with children. An interesting article is at:

I'm a childfree person as well, and one thing I'd really love to see childless people of both sexes have is a legal right to build up sabbatical leave time instead of maternity/paternity leave to do the things we'd like to do.
I think this would also help to prevent discrimination against employing females of menstruating age if both sexes were entitled to sabbatical time. Since it's illegal for an employer to ask questions about family plans, it's quite frustrating for women who do not want or cannot have children to know that in the eyes of many employers, particularly smaller businesses, we are seen as a liability when it simply isn't the case and we have no way of expressing that to potential employers.Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice.
