    Bank of England warns of rate rises if inflation shoots up
    What's good about higher interest rates for savers if it's off the back of increased inflation? They won't really be better off in real terms.

    No, but they would be worse off if there was increased inflation and interest rates didn't rise

    BoE target CPI inflation is 2%. Yet it's been above this for most of the past 3 years. Despite that they've dropped base rates to 0.5%. So you're basically already in that situation.
