I want to post a copy of a letter I've received from a legal firm onto the debt free wannabe thread, how do I get the letter after I've scanned it on to this box?

You'll need to paste the contents of your letter into the reply box. You can't post attachments.

this is what I am having problems doing, I've tried dragging the image and cutting and pasting- this I am unable to do as well. I've seen other posts were posters have managed to do it, I just seem to be crap.

Oh, if you want to post an image, you'll need to follow DB's advice above. It has to be uploaded somewhere on the internet first in order to link to it. Then once you have the picture's link, you write:

    picturelinkgoeshere.jpg

To cut and paste the text you'll have to have scanned it using OCR (optical character recognition) software which decyphers the text in a scanned document.
Otherwise you'll have scanned it as an image file, e.g. a jpeg, and you'll have to upload it to a hosting site as set out by DE & MJ above
