Help To Find Wedding Lingerie Please???

I have been shopping the last 3 Saturdays in a row to find the perfect wedding day lingerie. And still don't have any.

:(

Today I managed to find one set that I really adored but it was too costly at £62 just for the bra!!!

I have been looking online again for the last 5 hours and am starting to get really worried now.

I would prefer that it was ivory and would like some crystals or diamantes on it, a little lace maybe too, I really don't want anything too plain.
But it MUST be strapless. And it must have matching shorts or briefs. (Not thong)

I have seen loads of lovely ones but they have straps!! Grr.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can find anything nice? :o

I only have a week left to find something!!! :(

    Hi Dawnylou,

I found my bridal undies in M&S. The bra is in ivory and has removable straps. You can get the matching bottoms in either a brief or a thong. The brief (which I have) is really lovely as its all lacy and has a little tie up detail at the back. They also do a matching garter :)

I really adored Lejaby Crystal - it was the strapless one in Lily.
I am also quite concerned with what size to get. I currently wear 36D but I get a bit of breast overflow :o
I was told this meant that I needed to go down a bandsize so I figured I may as well go get measured properly.

Debenhams told me 32FF - however when I looked it up that is what size Jordan was wearing before her reduction so that can't be right!!
    M&S said 32E.

I tried the online guide on La Senza (34C), Ann Summers (34C) and M&S (34D) so I'm well confused as to what size to even order :(

I'm getting well stressed out

Don't worry about it sounding Jordan sized - I'm a 30gg and trust me, I don't look anything like that size ( possibly because they aren't shaped like footballs?!!!!)

Most women do wear a bra which is too big in the back and too small in the cup. And generally, the online calculators are rubbish, honestly. the size range they come up with for me is hilarious!! anywhere between a 28h and a 38b!!!

Do you have a Bravissimo or a John Lewis near you? They both do excellent fitting services, Bravissimo in particular.I've also found that Debenhams have improved recently - did they just take measurements, or did they actually try bras on and see how they fitted? This is ESSENTIAL for a good fitting. In my experience the M&S fitting service is dreadful as well.

Check out this guide on the Bravissimo website - http://www.bravissimo.com/perfectfit/getting-the-perfect-fit/default.aspx

Basically - get the back size right first. The back of your bra should be snug, and when you buy it you should buy it on the loosest setting. It should sit horizontally across your back and not ride up. You should only be able to run a couple of fingers inside the band.

Once you have that right you can work on your cup size - no overspill, and no gathers of excess fabric. In my own experience of how out friends have been on bra sizes - going from a 36d to a 32ff isn't unrealistic.

you might find it easier to find out what size you should be wearing normally - so get fitted for a strapped bra - and then work from there as the sizing on strapless bras can be a little out.

    Hope this helps a bit.

edited to add - i used to be a slightly bigger back, and I found that this was quite a good strapless and it's not too plain

I wore a basque under my wedding dress as I didn't trust a straplless bra to hold me up.

I bought mine in an independent bra shop but didn't go for the matching knickers as they were £15 and that was over 20 years ago. Just bought some nice ones from M&S.
