Direct Debit help please

Hi,

silly question, but I've got a DD that comes out of my account every month, it's from Halifax but I can not think/remember for the life of me what it is for. Is there any way of knowing. I could call halifax, but which department?

Thanks

Just ring customer services at Halifax the number should be on one of your statements or try the back of your cash card.
They will be able to tell you who the originator is (company receiving the cash) when it started etc.

Or look on Internet Banking, which should tell you.

What reference is on there? How much is it? Those will be the easiest clues.

If not, ask A&L to check the DDR originator in the originator directory - should be able to tell you what part of the Halifax and give you any relevant contact details etc.
