home insulation - insulating paint?

i bought some of this paint additive from the Ideal Home shopping channel Ok I hang my head in shame admitting to both watching and buying from a shopping channel, looked like a good idea at the time as we have a 27 ft long inside wall that gets very cold when the next door rented house is vacant. Can't tell you if it works as we haven't managed to decorate the room it was intended for. 3 bags cost £39.0

Thanks for that link - I have to say I don't see much to change my opinion:
"Thermilate® works by reflecting radiant heat"
Indeed. And this is not much use inside your average room, where the heat is lost by conduction from the air into the wall. It will be useful for, eg, reflecting sunlight (as will aluminium foil), but won't do much to keep a centrally-heated room warm.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
thank you all so much - lots to think over0
