Cordless modem for dial-up?

Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with the above? I don't want to pay for broadband (get very cheap dial-up access) but the cord connecting my computer to the telephone point is a real pain. The BT web-site offers a piece of kit that seems to be exactly what I need, BUT they are non-committal about whether it works with Windows XP and Service Pack 2, and make it clear that if I bought it and wanted to return it I would lose quite a bit on postage. BTW it is called on-air.
So any advice or experiences please?

With XP SP2 This Works Just Fine! - Dorothy, Stourbridge -
This product is simple to set up and use. Was worried that it would not work with XP Service Pack 2 but installed and operates without any problems. Machine is a Dell laptop with XP Home Edition SP2.

We bought the product a couple of weeks ago after months of deliberating as to whether it would be ok with XP SP2. It took 2 minutes to install the software and the whole unit works perfectly. We have a large bungalow with masonry partition walls, it works perfectly all around the place with virtually no loss of connection speed. Well done BT a great product at an incredible price.
It should work with SP2 .... :beer:Rich people save then spend.
