Hi,
wondering if anybody can help. I have an indesit wld126s washer/dryer, which is just about two years old. Recently if I select certain programmes (most Of ) them actually, it goes into a wash but as soon as it empties it goes spin/drain/spin/drain cycle and ignores the rinse, conditior etc and continues like this until I switch the machine off. It is hit and miss if I get it to go through a proper cycle, I have tried most programmes and generally it ends up doing the same thing. I spoke to a washing machine repair man (1) and he said get a new one as it is probably cheaper, if this is the best idea what washer/dryer that is fairly cheap would people recommend or should I pay indesit £99 parts and labour to get it fixed??

Get a new one. Zanussi are good and fairly cheap. Washer dryers tend to be less reliable than seperate ones though ( according to Which). I wouldn't know what to do either really...do you just get the cheapest one you can and just replace it if it dies in a couple years or get a Neff that 'should' last a fair while????0

I have looked at the new machines and they tend to be around £300ish, I have barely finished paying for this one, I expected it to last at least 5 years seeing as the last machine went for 11years with no probs until I shared it with someone who insisted on doing all towel washes. How easy is it to change a circuit board, would it be to complex to diy.?0

I'd be in two minds to ask Indesit to fix for it for you, if it's £99 all in - but that price may exclude the VAT, so be warned.
If all it takes is £99 to make your machine last another 3 years, then I'd do it. Ask your house mate to use more than one program, too.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
