We are going to Cyprus at christmas, would you buy your air tickets now, when they are quite a good price, or wait and see if the prices come down.

Prices only tend to come down if the airlines want to fill seats. At Christmas, it is easier to fill the seats as lots of people want to get away! therefore prices over Christmas tend to stay high.
