Car Hire Lanzarote

Im going to Lanzarote in Apr landing at Arrecife, and have been quoted £41 for transfers! Im sure its not that far to our destination of Puerto del Carmen?

So anyone know of any cheap car hire there? car needed from 27 apr to 4 may. Or any idea of taxi fare to and from the airport to puerto del carmen?

last year a cab cost about £7 - £10 max. from airport to p del carmen,
we were in the 'new' town
car hire is usually about £65 a week,

we're back again in july, but with 7 of us we hire a big transit bus,
a good website is lanzaroteisland.com for all the info and the webcams

is that £41 each way or return?

just got back from costa teguise and it was 16/17 euros each way in a taxi. and i think puerto del carmen is nearer to the airport

there were lots of taxis just outside the entrance

ps. make sure you take a jumper with you, it can get very windy there!

Puerto Del Carmen is only about 10/15 minutes from the airport. Costa Teguise is a lot further away in the opposite direction.

Try autoreisen. looks like £71.50 for a Saxo (no ac) - I have used them in Tenerife, recommended.
