How do you stop the earth from falling out of the holes? Where do you put the potatoes in the bag? And how many should you put in each bag? How long do you leave them there? Argh! I thought this was a kit for beginners and it'd be the start of a lovely new hobby, but the instructions are about as clear as mud to me - well except for putting the baby potatoes in an egg box, I managed that bit!

You're not alone! I thought it was supposed to be a "growing kit" too, but a couple of plastic bags and five potatoes doth not a kit make -- especially when the instructions don't relate to anything other than finding an egg box.

Anyway. It was good of T&M to send the potatoes and the seed kits, and very kind of cheerfulness4 to come up with a handy link!

Have also received free begonias which I requested with some fuscias - but I did pay £3.59 for this order with codes. Took them a while to close that loop hole, didn't it? I've found mention of people ordering on other forums since February.

Got my 15 lily bulbs arrived today. The little boxes have been so handy for pricking out my annuals into.

Useful step by step guide to growing potatoes. I guess in this case substitute "sturdy plastic container" for empty plastic bags!!! :rolleyes:

It's especially good to have this info all on a single sheet -- the allotment forum postings are wonderful but scattered over so many pages, I'm using more paper than if I'd decided to print out War and Peace.
