Laptop canot find the WiFi

I've looked through the Wireless Sticky but can't find the answer to this question.

I've installed a BT Voyager Wireless router and connected my desktop via the usb connection. Then I've tried to connect my Centrino laptop but it cannot see the network. It doesn't matter what information I put into the Wireless connection (key, encryption etc) it cannot see the network. It says the Wireless card is working normally, what else can I check.

I have connected my nephews PSP easily onto the network with good signal strength so I know the WiFi is working

Any clues what to check ??
Thanks

is ur wireless card set to get a DHCP Ip address ?

have you encrypted the wireless router already ?

Can you see any wireless networks on the laptop ?

Update the firmware of the laptop wireless card - is it shown as working in device manager ?

If you XP SP2 have you tried using the windows wireless wizard ...

    Download netstumbler

    http://www.netstumbler.com/downloads/

then install on the laptop, it should show you the wireless networks available and thier names, it will also tell you what wireless network adaptor you have.

Have you ensured the wireless network card is active on the laptop? sometimes it can be a keyboard combination button press to enable/disable

    Thanks for the advice.
XP says the card is functioning. It can diasable and enable it.
I've used the wizard but it shows no wireless networks visible.
I've entered all the WEP and key information as set by the modem but still nothing. The network can't be hidden as the PSP found it without me enterring any of the information.

Is there any devices between the laptop and router that may be blocking the signal at all?

My digi sender can sometime intefere?

Is the card enabled in windows?

Is the card an 802.11b or 802.11g card?

The PSP is 802.11b. Your card may only receive 802.11g?
Is the router setup to broadcast 802.11g?
