Hi we have stayed at Club Marte in Alcudia a couple of times. The last time we stayed i found it a bit rowdy, lots of drunk adults letting their kids roam alone, but the hotel and location was great ( right next door to a waterpark and also had bus service to beach, but its a nice walk to the beach as well)

We also stayed at the Lagomonte but that was quite a few years ago, this was quieter and was closer to beach.

Liked both hotels, it depends on what sort of thing you are after really.

Hi have stayed at Sea club - a lovely place, only downside is it's about a 15 min walk to beach and you have to cross a busy main road. We stayed at the Palm Garden apartments last year and have booked to go again this year. The apartments are about a 5 min walk from the beach not far from the port d'alcudia, which we think is the nicer end. You also have the choice of AI or SC.

But it depends on what you like.

Port d'Alcudia is a 4* aparthotel which is lovely, staff were friendly and helpful. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Good location as the harbour and bellvue area is about the same distance from the hotel, depending on which way you go. Close to the hidropark also.

Hotel Alcudia is in the port area and very close to the beach. Staff are lovely but any time i have been there, the place has been heaving with screaming kids and parents that think it's acceptable to let their kids run about screaming at 1 am. Nice hotel though lol.

Hotel Condes De Alcudia - Very close to the beach, also in the port area. Prefer this place to the Hotel Alcudia as the rooms are in slightly better condition and it is a better maintained. Would still go to any of the three places. In fact, going to Hotel Condes in August.

I can personally recommend the Eden Alcudia. Great hotel, right on the beach, two pools, plenty of entertainment for children, day and evening.

We stayed there last year and we're going to stay there again this year.

...but worth noting that the jupiter, Saturno (and one other - can't think of it's name) make up a giant super hotel complex. may not be to everyone's taste if they're after something a bti more personal.

..also, maybe someone could comment - I've always stayed at the marina end, but heard where the freshwater of the lakes are (around these Jupiter/saturno.. hotels) you can get a lot of mossies.- anyone confirm this?

stayed at several hotels in Alcudia, but usually stay in Puerto Pollensa now as far more laid back. The Condes de Alcudia which I stayed in October (ok, it was cheap and last minute) was like a northern working man's club with a pool.

Stayed at the Juipter/Saturno/Marte a few years ago and didn't like it. There is a mozzie problem and we did have to use loads of repellant but still managed to get some bites.

It was early season so the hotel wasn't running at full capacity. They only had one hotel open for lunch and there wasn't enough stuff to go around. You either had to queue up really early to get a clean table or queue and grab a dirty table as people left. Then you had to rummage around looking for cutlery, glasses etc. Someone had to be left on guard at the table at all times otherwise your tableware and chairs were taken by others while you were fetching food. They were struggling to keep up with demand so many food containers on the buffet were empty so it was a case of just eating what was there rather than having a choice of dishes. Breakfast and evening meal were better as the other restaurants were open.

It was early season so still to cool to sit out on an evening so all the entertainment was indoors. There wasn't enough room for all the guests, so if you want to watch it, you had to queue up to be first in for evening meal, stuff it down quick, then go and bag seats in the entertainment area. Due to the high volume of guests the bar was excepetionally busy and it took ages to get served for drinks.

We were in the Marte. The walls are paper thin and the noise echo's and there were no doors on the room corridors or stair wells. As my boys were just little then, we went up to bed fairly early. Even though we were on the 6th floor, we could still hear the entertainment loudly when we were in bed, and the noise of people going up and down stairs and along the corridors.

We on an all-inclusive allocation on arrival deal, and were pleased when we arrived at the hotel as we'd been worried about ending up in a dump and it seemed like we had a brilliant deal. However, by the end, we were just glad to get home!
Here I go again on my own....

Would advise against the Conde De Alcudia.

    - Small pool.
    - Food v. bland.
    - Tiny, tiny lifts.

It was ok-ish, but for similar prices, I'm sure you could do much better.
