MAC Cosmetics Online - waiting for a refund

I recently bought 2 items from MAC cosmetics online but when I received the delivery they had only sent one of the items I ordered and one wrong item that I did not order.
I emailed them straight away to tell them about this mistake and they said that they would refund me for the item that I did not receive (as it was now out of stock) and that I could keep the item that they sent in error as well.
2 weeks later I still have not received my refund. I spoke to one of their operators on Wednesday and she said to me that the refund has been raised but not processed yet.
Are they entitled to drag their heels on giving a refund? Is there anyway I can speed this process come to conclusion? I paid by visa debit.

I think they have been very decent to let you keep the free item. I would consider that a win-win situation,and Mac is great makeup. Sounds like they are doing their best by you.Personally,I would see the positive aspect,and just be a bit patient.0

I totally agree that they've been brilliant by letting me keep the item that they sent in error. I've thanked them for that. I just don't understand why it is taking so long to refund my money that's all - especially when they've been very good in every other aspect. Most companies usually say that they will refund within 7 working days once it's been processed.0
