is it just me, or am i the only one to drives to a shop to buy stuff in order to avoid delivery costs? (as well as potentially damaged goods)
Not everybody has that option!
Some people are better off paying for delivery than paying out petrol and parking costs, I personally ordered online this time as it was sale stock and in all likelihood by the time I had made it to a store at the weekend there would have been nothing left."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

I would drive to a shop but my nearest M&S is a small high street one with no choice of Autograph or Limited Edition. It was cheaper to get what I wanted delivered than pay train fare into town or parking charges to get to one of the bigger stores. Have you been into an M&S sale lately, its like a scrum trying to get near the bargains and with a small child thats not very easy.
I do most of my shopping at stores but sometimes its (alledgedly) easier to get my stuff delivered.0 -
Spend half a Saturday driving to the shops, queuing up to park in an expensive car park and run the gauntlet of thousand prams just to find no trousers in my size or choice of colour?is it just me, or am i the only one to drives to a shop to buy stuff in order to avoid delivery costs? (as well as potentially damaged goods)
or sit on the sofa, press a few buttons and go down the pub?
I was always put off internet shopping by the postage and "allow 28 days for delivery" Now with free postage often available and delivery times usually pretty short if I dont need to try it on or have to see it first its the internet for me.

Also, when you buy online from M&S during the sales in my experience everything comes nicely packed in bags, have never been tried on or having being bought by somebody and returned and rumaged through on the rails by loads of people.
Plus you don't have to wait in a long line to pay for them and carry them home.0 -

When it comes to M&S it is ! There delivery service is shockingly bad as it's contracted out to HDN who are nothing better than monkeys.
Still the £95 in compensation from M&S paid for lots of wine !
EDIT : Apologies to monkeys, I'm sure they could do a better job !0 -
What's the rush??? As long as they come they come don't they

Well my other lost parcel has finally turned up. Yesterday the girl at M&S said I would not be getting it as it was out of stock so she refunded me. She siad if it did turn up I wouldn't be charged. Delivery company phoned this morning and said they had the parcel, received it this lunchtime. So one freebie from M&S which makes up for paying for postage and the phone calls to them.
Definitely think I will try to get to one of the bigger stores when they have a sale next time to save the hassle of lost parcels and disappointment of stuff out of stock.0 -
I placed an order last Wednesday,a case of wine at half price
and it was delivered early on Friday morning which I thought was very quick delivery.I have never had problems with any of my M&S orders. 0
