Delivery times from M&S

Is it just me, I placed an order online on Monday of this week and just checked my account, they haven't even sent it yet!!!
It says on the website that estimated despatch date is 1st-6th April - what a farce.
I wouldn't mind so much but it wasn't even free delivery.

I am finding delivery from them very quick. I placed a large order on Tuesday evening this week and received everything yesterday and I ordered the DOTD on Thursday which was the Zebra handbag and it came this morning. Everything came before the estimated delivery date.0

Placed two orders on Monday, the first order was large and a second smaller order. The smaller order arrived on Thursday morning. Still no sign of the big order. I would not mind but these were the items I needed sooner. M&S delivery has never made any sense to me.0

I placed my first order there last week, two pairs of trousers. I used a code for free delivery and cashback.
The estimated delivery was well over a week ahead. The order arrived in two deliveries on two days but did arrive within the estimated time.
This was OK but these days I am getting used to near next day delivery on internet orders.
I was not particularly impressed and don`t feel inclined to use the service again as I expected much better service from M&S.0 -
Its really quite bizzare isn't it, its not very M&Sy at all! I wouldn't care so much if I had had free delivery."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

I had the same despatch estimate but received an email yesterday saying the order had been sent. Hope you get your delivery sooner too.0

Order stil lnot sent but had a reply to my complaint saying they are sorry nad will refund the delivery charge, also said delivery should be within 3-5 days, if it comes on the date 6/4 like it suggests on their website then it will be two weeks."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

I find that delivery times are really variable with M&S. Things I have ordered in the sale take weeks to arrive and usually while I am waiting some of my order is out of stock. This time I ordered at 9pm when the sale prices went live, the day before it officially started and I only just got confirmation last night that my order has been despatched. A week to wait is fine this time but last time I waited about three weeks by which time the dress I wanted was out of stock which got me really annoyed. Deal of the day delivery also seems to take around a week, depending on what it was I ordered, the more popular the item then the longer it took.
I can't really compare their delivery to any other department store apart from John Lewis, and they seem much quicker plus they do not charge you for delivery. However john Lewis does not have everything I need and the quality is not always what i would expect from them. M&S free delivery offers vary from week to week, one minute its free over 35 spend this time it was free over 150.
I suppose if anyone got thousands and thousands of orders placed to them during a sale they would struggle to get them out quickly, you have to hope that as they take a wee bit longer then the parcel you receive is accurate and has the correct items in it!0 -
I placed an order with M & S at 6.30pm Tuesday evening and payed for standard delivery 3-5 working days and was given an 'estimated delivery date of 26th - 30th March (today!!) and I was also sent a tracking number to use with HDN couriers. I received a despatch e-mail from M & S on Thursday 26th (9.46pm) and have been putting in the tracking reference number with the HDN website and it is still showing as '26.03.09 Parcel Data Received'!! Guess I'm not going to receive my parcel today then!! I wouldn't mind so much but I have had the week off work and I go back to work tomorrow and as I paid for delivery I was hoping that it would arrive by today at the latest!! If it doesn't turn up (I'm still living in hope  ) then does anyone know if it would be worth me trying to claim my delivery charges back?
Many thanks in advance....0 -
Well I would phone/email if you have a problem with delivery as last time they cancelled the dress I'd ordered which meant I didn't get free delivery. I phoned and complained and I got a big apology and my delivery charge refunded.
My parcel arrived today delivered by home network, but one parcel has vanished on the way, it is showing as at the depot and been delivered onto the van but I only got one parcel which is showing as received. The other parcel is still showing as on the van!!! I complained to M&S and then the delivery people got back to me telling me that they have no record of another parcel!!! M&S are still trying to sort it out and said it could well be on another van as they often split them up, the delivery company sound like idiots to me. Why get two vans to deliver to the same place? Hopefully it will turn up in the next 24 hours, I wouldn't mind but I know its an ipod jacket for my daughter for when she starts high school after the summer...grrrr. I'm not fussed about the ipod bit but it was a cheap jacket! My curtains will be twitching all day now incase another van turns up......0 -
