Can anyone please explain why you get double the cover for the same price if you book Tesco travel insurance over the phone as opposed to in-store or internet?
Thanks
Thanks

Read the policy and make sure you are happy with the conditions before you buy a Tesco travel policy.

Thanks Quentin...just read that and its very interesting
still like to know what the big deal is by phone though0 -
Why not ask them - no-one here will know what is the reasoning behind their different products.0

I am going to phone them...just wanted to know a bit of background first
"no-one here will know what is the reasoning behind their different products"
I wouldn't bank on that Quentin....that's one of the great things about this site....getting the experience of those that have been there and done it!0 -
I presumed you wanted the precise answer.
I can suggest one. If you ring up rather than go online, you speak to a salesperson who can take the opportunity whilst speaking to you to use their skills to close the sale there and then.
Often you can get better deals by speaking to insurance companies direct, where you realise that when they advertise "10% off for online policies" this can in fact be bettered by bartering with them in person.0 -
cheers...I have my car insurance with Tesco so I'll have a little look and see what they say0

Did you see in that other thread that they now won't cover you if you are healthy at the policy inception but develop an illness between then and taking your holiday?
If this happens you must notify them and accept new conditions and surcharges to the premium, otherwise any claim related to the new illness isn't covered.0 -
Plus on the phone its easier for them to cross sell you other policies or get the renewal dates out of you.0
