I have a booklet dated 11/00 which gives standards of service for the platinum card. It has a section on t & c, would this be any help?

    Hi julieM

Yes that would be great.....could you check the section on default noticers for me? How many days did Capital One give you after sending you a default notice, before they inform the credit reference agencies? currently they state that they give you 28 days (after sending you a default notice) to rectify the account and if you dont then they inform the Credit Reference Agencies?

Please could you have a look then let me know thanks

    Have you defaulted then?

Hi, I am looking into this for my friend he does not recall a default notice, capital one have been unable to provide a copy etc.....but according to legislation they dont have to if there is no debt to pay off. So I think i have found an error they have made regarding time lapse between default notice and actually informing the credit ref agencies.

I'm afraid there is no reference to this at all, it's just a brief summary at the end of a booklet. Sorry I couldn't help after all.

Thanks JulieM.....I have managed to find a document from Capital One stating that when you sign up with them you are bound to any changes in t & c's.....I know that in 2004 that point about the default was in there so therefore I should be covered. thanks for your help though x
