Parked in a disabled bay after hours

Hello!
I parked in a large area of disabled parking near to my work on what I thought was the off hours.
The sign by read
"Disabled badge holders only. 6pm - 8am".
Silly me thought it said 6am - 8pm, so I thought whooop whoop I can park here! Thought I wouldn't be doing any harm as I work a night shift. I parked there at about 9:30pm and had a council ticket by 10pm. Ticket is here:

I do not have a blue badge. Can anyone see any way out?
TIA

I think you're on a loser
But it's worth an appeal explaining your error
Make sure you stay with the £35 charge though0 -
Could you please post the back of the pcn and also photos of the sign and bay markings. Councils are well known for getting the painting wrong and using unapproved signs.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

It is just off the promenade and is there to enable disabled people have access to the night time attractions or bed and breakfast etc.The pubs around there have a big thing for disabled access and parking.0

Thanks for the replies so far.
The full text of the sign reads
"Disabled badge holders only.
6pm-8am
8am - 6pm
3 hours
No return
within 6 hours"
I shall post take my camera and get some photos and reverse of ticket over the weekend when I am back there. Cheers!0 -

Well I've paid my dues sadly at the £35 rate. I'll have to double check the AMs and PMs next time!
