Parked in a disabled bay after hours

Hello!

I parked in a large area of disabled parking near to my work on what I thought was the off hours.

The sign by read
"Disabled badge holders only. 6pm - 8am".

Silly me thought it said 6am - 8pm, so I thought whooop whoop I can park here! Thought I wouldn't be doing any harm as I work a night shift. I parked there at about 9:30pm and had a council ticket by 10pm. Ticket is here:

I do not have a blue badge. Can anyone see any way out?

TIA :D

    I think you're on a loser
But it's worth an appeal explaining your error
Make sure you stay with the £35 charge though

Could you please post the back of the pcn and also photos of the sign and bay markings. Councils are well known for getting the painting wrong and using unapproved signs.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

The full text of the sign reads

    "Disabled badge holders only.

You'll need to post the back of the PCN too, OP.

Well I've paid my dues sadly at the £35 rate. I'll have to double check the AMs and PMs next time! :(
