Good morning all!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

It has gone very quiet in there and most people have moved over to the SW thread here

As you know, my girls came over yesterday afternoon, so we were sat there chatting about it all. Then two of my housemates came home from visiting and work. It felt like a summit, I’ll tell you that. None of them wanted me to go so they were all talking through what’s happened, I was honest with them with the amount of trouble I am in and how I have been feeling. They lectured me slightly for not telling them about it, even though it’s all my own doing.
So anyway, they’ve encouraged me to hold on until my tenancy runs out here. Get myself on JSA, housing and council tax benefit. They insisted that Fi would rather he get his money somehow than loose the last 2 months rent if I moved out. I wasn’t happy with that, because it’s ok for them to say to just stand up to him. But I am scared of confrontation and would rather not. But anyway, by the time the girls left, I had gone from being totally sure of what I was doing, to being very confused and unsure what was for the best.
As I was mulling all this over, an idea came to me last night. Really, if you strip it down, it's just Fi and the rent that has thrown me for a loop. I've applied for JSA this morning and I was thinking about how much I would get and how much I could live on when I came up with this idea. If I could get a hold of £330 (two months rent) I could give that to Fi and that would be us square for the rest of the time I am here. I worked out that I could pay back £40 a fortnight to whoever lent me it and in the worst case scenario, it would take me four and a half months to pay it all back. But I'm really thinking that I would have got a job, any job before that point. I was running the idea by my housemate, and he said he could lend me May's rent as he gets his loan through in late April, so that's another option there. But I haven't quite worked out how my repayment plan would work for two people.
So I’ve sent an email to my mother with the above plan. She’s gonna get back to me and we’ll see how it goes. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.
