travelodge canterbury dunkirk or whitstable?

Want to stay in one of these travelodges on route to Dover.. Will be travelling down on the M2.. has anyone stayed in either of them and would recommend one over the other?

We only paid £10 too, but in my opinion the whole place needs refurbishing - everything was old. We had a family room , maybe they're the grotty ones !!( plus there was the noise from a generator going all night long)0
