low voltage lighting question...

Options
I've bought fireproof low voltage lights for the bathroom but realise that perhaps I should have bought IP65 rated shower safe units....or does it not matter?

I have found conflicting information about the need for an IP rated unit 2.25m above the zones 1-3.

Any views appreciated.

  • Are these replacing existing spotlights?

No, they will replace the central (mains) light.
  • Work as you suggest requires a part p registered electrician. He'd also be able to advise on whether you need different ones.

Especially since the information the OP is working from is out of date - there is no zone 3.

    Low voltage - good move
Is the lighting RCD protected tho? I VERY much doubt it and yet it is a requirement.
Get a scheme registered spark in.
