Backing up BIOS settings

I'm going to be replacing the motherboard battery in my desktop system, and I'll have to restore all the settings in the BIOS using the manual (yes, I'll be using geek mode here :D).

Does anyone know of a program that I can use from Windows or a command prompt that can backup the BIOS settings once I've done that so I don't have to do it all over again the next time the battery needs replacing?

I've had a look online, but can't really find anything appropriate.

If you change the battery quickly, you should keep your bios settings though it's not guaranteed.

The other option is to check the motherboard's website and follow the instructions for updating the bios. This usually involves copying files to a floppy drive. When you run the program it gives you an option to back-up your current bios.

Hopefully this will back up your settings for you.
