...or "plaid" as they are now known.
not sure what to think of the yellow. there was something comforting and reassuring about the green.
perhaps theyare trying to come in line with the lib dems?
seems almost like political suicide, compromising your identity like that.
what do you make of it?

Although I wouldn't go so far as to say its political suicide, but its not going to help...changing the colour of your logo and 'corporate' colours doesnt really change the organisation...surely policy etc is more important than a colour and/or a logo? Will be interesting to see if they change policy direction and stuff to go with change in logo.
Trying to be more like Lib Dems... PC (or now P i guess) lost Ceredigion to the Lib Dems in the last general election, (with almost 10% increase in LB and 2.5% decrease in PC....figs from BBC news)
I did a module on Wales and national identity etc last year, and I *think* (although I cant remember exactly) that PC were originally trying to encourage the idea of the Welsh heartland being in the hills and family and fields and stuff, rather than the cities like Cardiff and Swansea, as they had to much influence from 'outside', ie England, so weren't being quite so Welsh as they could be...and our lecturer was pushing the idea of Ceredigion being the 'heartland'...(although seeing as how we are in Ceredigion here he was quite likely biased), so it was just very ironic when PC lost Ceredigion.
Im not exactly sure what PC's policies are etc, as I am registered to vote back home in Manchester, but I do know that the LB candidate came to uni and did a LOT of canvassing round here, and maybe the PC didn't try too hard to get the student vote.
(will stop rambling now as its all getting a bit too tangential now)
