I have a scart lead from DVD to the a SKY digibox then a Scart from the digibox to the TV. Then the six connections between the Main Unit and the DVD plus two connections (L & R Audio) between the Main Unit and the SKY box. Behind the TV I have four items plugged into the wall; SKY box, TV, Main Unit and then the DVD.
There's no more room to connect anything into the speakers.0 -
Whoa! I've just found out what it is.
It turns out that it's the hot water pump in my central heating system! As I've been around the house switching various appliances off and when this is shut down the interference stops. Any suggestions to how I can suppress this or do I have to heat my water during the hours that I'm not watching TV?!0 -

Oh, just one more thing. The speakers and DVD seem to share some of the same IR signals. So, for example, pressing the OK button on the DVD mutes the speakers as well!! I guess the two part were not designed together.
Anyway, I've covered up the IR on the speakers and just use the panel on the front!0 -
Another thing with this home cinema system is that with some DVD's, when I switch to 'surround' I lose the dialogue and just get the background noise and music. On 5.1 the dialogue comes back but then I lose totally the sound from the rear left & right speakers!
Is this right or have I connected something up wrong?0
