UTTT jus bought one today must say exc value for money just dont know where to put it as it seems a bit of a luxury in my room although for a 16yr old i have the mod cons most people dream of in here hehehe shpuld fit my dvd recorder hopefully

weird... specs read:

so is it just two channels, or 5.1, or takes only a stereo feed and prologic's it???

Bought one for my son for xmas, looks a good buy, definitely 5.1 surround sound but may have a 2 channel option on the dvd player? In Tesco today I noticed they were selling the same set but branded as Bush. Unit was on display and looked rather nice, they were asking £79.99

i could only get two speakers working on mine so took it back but forgot to take my little britain dvd out doh (how dumb- yeah a know) so do u think i will get it back?

I bought one of these at the weekend and it works great. I was going to get a set of speakers for £80 with less power!!

Three things to note.

1. The DVD player is in Stereo by default. In the Audio setup menu turn on the other speakers!! As I remember you have to turn something off to get surround!!

2. The Center and Woofer Audio jacks are swapped over on the speakers to the position they are on the DVD. Make sure that you plug these in correctly, or you'll have booming voices.

3. The Preference menu is only available when there is no disk in the DVD player. No mention of this in the manual

Can anyone tell me the model of the DVD player?

I'm thinking of getting this set for dh, but we already have a dvd player. I thought I could give the new one to my brother instead, but I'm trying to find out how much it would be separately. We're on a budget of £20 per person for gifts. Does this sound right for the dvd player?

The Model is DVD566.

It says that it's Region 2 in the manual and on the back of the machine, but, today I put all the Region 1 disks that I have in it and they all play just fine!!!!

We have never had a telly (policy). I have just reserved the home cinema system, can anybody recommend the best means of projection, or does it have to a telly screen?

With the ALBA home cinema system, I get a repetetive ticking noise through the speakers, some kind of interference. Does anybody else get this or is there a solution to this problem?

Is there room for another item to plug into the speakers as well as the DVD player?
