Can't do the whole period 'cos I was a bit late starting to monitor - but here's my equivalent decline in average savings rate from Sept 08

Sept 08 - 6.51%
Oct 08 - 6.53%
Nov 08- 6.38 %
Dec 08 -6.16 %
Jan 09 - 5.74 %
Feb 09 - 5.54 %
March 09 - 5.50%

I'm glad I don't have a normal savings account with Egg - only an ISA which I'm pulling out after the start of the new tax year to pay a deposit for a new car, seems not worth it keeping it in there any more.
