VALUEFLORA and poor customer service

Can anyone advise?? My son is abroad and sent me some belated flowers from Valueflora. They arrived Wednesday morning and after my initial delight I was very disappointed when I opened the box as the flowers which were a sort of small lily with lots of leaves all over the stem looked in a poor state. Most of the leaves and some flowers were twisted, broken or limp and the flowers generally looked crumpled.
I emailed a thank you to my son and didn't say anything as he is busy with work so I emailed Valueflora yesterday to tell them what had happened. I first got a nice email saying would I send a photo and that flowers sometimes got damaged in the post. I took the photo and emailed it back with the comment that I didn't think the posting was likely to be the cause (not the twisted leaves surely?) I then got an email saying the girl i was emailing to could not see the picture clearly enough and advising me to take the issue up with royal mail. that has made me cross. i did not that on the forums some people have had good and some bad experiences with Valueflora. I would like to know what to do next. In some respects I don't want to waste my time over this, but I think distance sellers have responsibilities? I don't like the way Valueflora seem to be responding. So what to do next??? J.

your main issue is you are not the customer and as such they most likely have little interest0
