Hi all

I'm looking to move all my current e-mails from my Tiscali account to a Gmail account (just in case I ever leave Tiscali.)
I've just noticed that Gmail now supports IMAP settings (don't think it did at first).

How easy would it be to move all my current e-mails to my new Gmail account and can it be done "all at once" or do I need to move each e-mail individually?

  • if Tiscaly uses IMAP then it should be as simple as putting in the server details into Gmail. the server details are usally something imap.tiscaly.com and your user name and password.

if tiscaly doesnt support IMAP then i think your snookerd.

    Hmm... interesting topic :)

I've just changed my evolution email client to use the Tiscali imap server of imap.tiscali.co.uk and it seems to connect up OK.

Having said that it hasn't d/l a test mail I sent from another account :( I'll let you know if it does.

OK - set up my gmail account, got it set up for IMAP and done the necessaries in Outlook Express.

How can I transfer all my contacts and e-mails from my Tiscali account to my shiny and new gmail account?

I already have my e-mails on OE from IMAP settings. Will this still do the necessaries, or can I use something a bit simpler?
