Sainsburys Home Delivery

I am due a delivery this afternoon between 4 and 5pm. At 1.45pm I got a phone call from Sainsburys Online to say that my card payment wouldn't go through. So I checked with the bank, they said they had authorised the payment. So I rang Sainsbury's back and held on for 25 minutes to be connected to Store Liason. Eventually I was through and went over all the details again, Sainsburys still said that the payment wasn't authorised.

So I rang the bank again, they cancelled the payment due. The bank told me that they are legally obliged to pay Sainsburys if the first transaction does go through:eek:I rang Sainsburys who were at last able to take it!

I have spent the last 2 hours trying to get this sorted and not even a sorry from Sainsbury's

    I've been Money Tipped!
I am so sorry that you have had this bad experience.

I have had good service from Sainsbury, but I believe it can be really hit and miss depending on the area.

And I am really surprised that you have not at least had a voucher for delayed delivery. Perhaps you can ask the driver. Good luck.

Yes, I agree I have always had good service from Sainsburys. It seems that there was a communication problem with Sainsburys computer system, can only put it down to technology I suppose

I got my first delivery from Sainsburys (I usually shop in store, but my car was off the road). They substituted a special offer product with something that cost £2 more for less of the item, despite there being other offers on, and a carton of orange juice had a large wad of used chewing gum on it. Nice huh? I got refunds, but still.... it was gross.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Was it an electron card ?

Yes, it was a Co-Op Visa Electron, but I've used it many times before for Sainsbury's Home Delivery and never had a problem
