The situation is i am hoping to rent on DSS
1 ) I am going back to college and hoping to rent or a few months on DSS
2) I have an agency who will accept me for a flat on DSS with a guarantor(i have my parents as guarantor) so ok there
3) Now i have a really bad credit history, still in debt for my CC to bank and another CC been like like for a few years.
4) I am going to view the flat soon and would sign papers after that
4) I can get a good reference from current landlord
But will they check my credit history and will this stop me from renting, even though all other requirements are ok?

When I first rented I was a student with the usual bad/no credit history. In terms of rental, having a garantor normally covers you if you have bad history because it basically falls on them if you ever didnt pay the rent. It should cover it.. Have a word with the estate agent.0
