A template letter is not what you need, it needs to be written specially for your situation. Simply asking them to think again will not work, you will have to show that some aspect of the selection process was not followed correctly and that, if it had been, you would not have been selected for redundancy.
For example, if people were selected on sickness record over the last two years (say) and yours was above the selection threshold, you would seek to show in your appeal letter either that the sickness records were incorrect or that your sickness was down to a registered disability (making the selection on these grounds illegal).
If you post the selection criteria used by the company on this forum, maybe someone can offer further advice.0
