Query re mp3 compatible micro hifi

Recently bought the sony cmt-cpx11 hifi which can also play mp3s.

However, just saved a mixture of wma files and mp3 files to a cd and it will only play the mp3s.

Does anyone know why this is and whether I can get round it?

you would need to convert the Wma files to MP3 format

Will only play 'em if it says it's capable of playing wma's in the instructions

dbpoweramp is a light and quick progam for conversion

Nice one, thanks. And there was me thinking wma was just the normal format on a cd! :-[

forgot to metion,

for dbpoweramp to convert wma you need to install a small plugin here (number 2 unless you have an old version of media player)

Only takes a few seconds

Alternatively, right-click the wma file and select "convert" and it takes you to that page anyway
